Gabriel Engineering

Dampers are used for flow control, modulation and isolation of flue and
process gases. Their service goes from simple light duty heating and
ventilating to heavy duty power plant applications.  Many applications
require custom engineering. These dampers are those that are typically
built on a project basis to the customers specifications and/or special
requirements

Donald Gabriel has over 25 years of experience in the application and design of dampers for the control, isolation and modulation of flue gases.  Having worked for several major dampers including Air Clean Damper Company (ACDC), Pathway, EFFOX, and Bachmann, a wealth of knowledge few share in the design and application of dampers from several different design and product philosophies is drawn upon.

Do you need a damper expert on your staff for your next project to insure that you get the quality and level of equipment needed?  If you have field issues or need an independent damper resource, I also can provide that service.

Sample Projects: (click on pictures for larger views)

 Pneumatic System
Added manual override and controls to pneumatic actuator.
 Heated Process Air Skids
Designed process skids to provide heated ambient air. Included sizing fan, heater, selection of components and designing skids and ducting.
 Hydraulic Power Unit
Sized and selected components for HPU unit.

Electric-Mechanical Drive
Interfaced standard valve actuator with gearbox to drive jackscrew.

 Louver Damper
Converted parallel blade louver to opposed blade louver and added positioner.
Chain and Sprocket Drives
Provided design guidelines for the use of link chain.  Have also used precision and engineered chain.
 Ductwork
Designed transition piece for new fan for power plant.
